If your ceremony uses wedding malas, give them their own place in the plan. They are handled and worn by people, so they need a different discussion from flowers hanging on a backdrop.
Ask the family what is needed
Confirm how many malas are required and who will use them. Ask the ceremony guide whether a flower or style choice matters for the family's practice.
Keep names and quantities on the order. Do not assume that a pair for the couple covers every flower item needed for the ceremony.
Look at size and feel
Ask the flower team for a sample, a clear size description or photographs of the proposed style. Discuss length, width and weight. A very full mala may look striking but may not feel right for the people wearing it.
Show the team the clothing style if it helps explain the choice. Let the couple say what feels comfortable rather than choosing only for a close-up photograph.
Name the flowers clearly
Write down the proposed flowers and colours. Ask which parts, if any, use reusable pieces. If the flower choice may change with supply, agree how approval will happen.
Ask about scent if someone is sensitive to it. The team can explain available choices; the family can decide what suits them.
Decide who receives them
Choose one person to collect or receive the malas. Ask the team how and where to keep them until the ceremony. Follow the handling advice for the actual flowers supplied.
Keep them away from the busy setup area so they are not mistaken for decoration stock. Tell the person guiding the ceremony who has them.
Check them before the event begins
The receiving person should check the quantity and agreed style while there is still time to raise a problem. Take a clear photograph if a change needs to be discussed with the team.
After use, let the family decide whether it wants to keep, photograph or return any part. Hired or reusable pieces may have collection terms.
Small details become easier when they have a named owner. A short, clear mala order helps avoid a last-minute search while the family is already busy welcoming guests.
