A wedding plan becomes clearer when each choice leads to the next. Choose the place around the family's needs, choose the décor around the ceremony and give the team one agreed programme. This is a planning guide, not the story of a named couple.
Begin with the family needs
Write down the expected guests, the ceremonies chosen and the amount available. Ask who needs rooms, transport or help moving around.
Let the couple and both families discuss the parts that matter most. Keep those choices on one page so the venue search has a clear starting point.
Visit the places on your shortlist
Walk from the entrance through the ceremony and meal areas. Check toilets, steps and a covered alternative. Ask for the exact spaces and terms offered for your date.
Compare written lists of included work rather than only photographs or headline prices. Keep the venue's confirmed answers with the booking.
Fit the décor to the day
Ask the ceremony guide about space and materials. Show the décor team the actual venue and family requirements.
Approve the design, main sizes and materials together. Keep flower items used in the ceremony separate from flowers used only for decoration.
Add guest arrival, welcome, ceremony, meal and departure. Include the time suppliers need before and after the event.
Check the plan with the venue, kitchen, photographer and main teams. Give changes a clear route through one family or planning contact.
Plan the family photographs
Make a short list of important groups. Ask someone who knows the relatives to help gather them. Check a comfortable photo place for elders and anyone who does not want to climb onto a stage.
Ask the family about photographs that may be shared publicly. Private family moments should stay private when that is their wish.
Keep a record after the wedding
Save the final plan and any useful notes. If the family agrees to a published story, check names, facts and photo permissions with them.
Keep a few notes about what helped the day run well. The family can use them when planning another gathering, and share them with relatives who ask for advice.
