A wedding invitation should do more than look good. It should help a guest know whose event it is, when to come and where to go. Check the details carefully before sending the design to print or sharing it on a phone.
Start with the names
Ask the family how names should appear in Nepali, English or both. Let someone who knows the names check spelling and the order.
Do not copy a title or family detail from another invitation without checking it. If the couple wants a simpler wording, discuss that before the layout is finished.
Make the date easy to read
If you use both BS and AD dates, have the match checked. Clearly show which date system each one uses. Do not rely on an unchecked conversion.
State the arrival time and what part of the day the guest is invited to. A ceremony and a reception on different dates need separate details.
Name the actual venue
Use the property's correct name and area. If it has several entrances or halls, add the one guests should use. A hotel name alone may not guide them to the wedding space.
Include a useful nearby landmark if the family and venue agree it helps. Check it with someone who has visited the place.
Test the map link or QR code
Open the map pin on a different phone. Make sure it leads to the correct property and not a place with a similar name.
If the printed card has a QR code, test a sample print at its final size. Keep written venue details on the card too, so guests do not depend only on scanning it.
Ask the person before printing their number. Choose someone likely to answer on the event day. Do not list only the couple if they will be busy in the ceremony.
If transport is arranged, say how guests receive the pick-up details. A separate message may work better than crowding the card.
Check a final proof together
Read every name, date, time and place aloud. Look at the design at the actual print size. Check the version shared online as well.
A clear invitation saves the family repeated calls and helps guests arrive with confidence. Simple details, checked well, matter more than extra wording.
