You do not have to make one flower choice for the whole wedding. Ask the team to explain each area separately. A mala used in a ceremony, a backdrop behind the couple and a distant entrance may have different needs.
Look at a real sample
Ask to see the proposed fresh flower and reusable flower pieces. Look at them in the kind of light the venue will have. A small phone picture can hide details that matter up close.
For reusable flowers, ask about their condition and colour. For fresh flowers, ask what is available for your date and how any change will be agreed.
Begin with the ceremony items
Tell the team which flowers are needed for the ceremony and which are only part of the décor. Ask your ceremony guide if any material choice needs special care.
Keep these items named in the quote. Do not let a general line such as “flower package” hide a choice that matters to the family.
Check the photo areas
The couple's background and close family photo area may be seen from a short distance. Ask the photographer and team to show how the proposed materials look there.
Use the venue visit to judge size as well as material. A smaller, carefully placed flower area may suit the room better than covering every surface.
Compare the work, not only the flowers
A mixed setup still needs preparation, transport and setup. Fresh flower work may include sorting and making strings. Reusable pieces may need cleaning, fitting and collection.
Ask what labour and materials each option includes. Do not assume reusable flowers always mean a lower total or that fresh flowers always give the same result.
Put the choices in writing
- Name each area being decorated.
- State which flowers or pieces are fresh.
- State which pieces are hired and collected later.
- Agree who approves a change.
- Check the removal plan and any damage terms.
There is no need to call one choice “real” and the other “wrong”. Choose the materials that fit your ceremony, look and budget. A clear plan helps the family know what they are paying for and helps the team supply the agreed work.
