If the wedding ceremony and bhoj happen at different places, the journey between them becomes part of the day. Guests need a clear next step. The two venues and suppliers also need to know when people will move.
Put both places in the invitation
Name the ceremony place and meal venue separately. Give a correct map pin for each. Make the times clear so a guest invited only to the meal does not go to the ceremony by mistake.
Ask someone to check the details on a phone before sending them widely. A small mistake in an entrance name can send many guests to the wrong gate.
Allow time to leave the first place
The ceremony ending is not the same as every guest being ready to travel. People may need photographs, toilets, shoes or bags before leaving.
Ask the family and suppliers how much time those steps need. Share a realistic arrival window with the kitchen at the second venue.
Decide how guests travel
List who uses arranged vehicles and who travels on their own. Give each group a departure point and contact person.
Check the route with the driver for the actual day. Avoid promising an exact journey time based only on a map estimate. Include a way to update the meal venue if the group is delayed.
Look after the people who need help
Plan a seat and vehicle for elders who do not want to wait with the whole group. Ask a family member to help with bags or mobility needs if the guest wants that support.
Tell the second venue where these guests will arrive and where they can sit while the meal is prepared.
Check which décor moves
If anything will be reused, name the items and the team moving them. Do not expect relatives to carry large structures between venues.
The second venue may need to be ready before the first event ends. Ask whether a separate setup is better than a rushed move.
Make the handover clear
Give the meal venue one contact who reports departure and arrival. Tell guests which number to call if they get lost.
A clear gap plan lets the family enjoy both parts of the day. Treat the journey as a real task with time, transport and people assigned to it.
